Laura A. Hawn Patterson’s untitled memoir

I finished transcribing Laura A. Hawn Patterson’s 1906 memoir about her trip across the plains to Oregon that she took with her parents in 1843 when she was just eight years old.

  1. Have you offered a copy to the Oregon Historical Society? I’m sure they’d be interested.

    • They do have a copy of her memoir. I might have obtained mine there, actually.

    Michael,
I am the great grandson of James Hawn; brother of Jacob Hawn (who was the father of Laura Arvilla Perkins Patterson & Leviatte Statira Patterson). I cannot say ‘thank you’ enough for your work here preserving invaluable Familial and Historical details. This is wonderful stuff…..
